(Citation Needed) - SYNOPSIS: Private Alvin C. Baker (ASN: 38684096), United States Army, was awarded the Silver Star (Posthumously) for gallantry in action while serving with Company C, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division in the European Theater of Operations during World War II.

Alvin Baker was a married white male with a grammar school education and working as a farm hand in Palo Pinto County Texas when he enlisted in the US Army at Camp Wolters Texas on 5 Apr 1944.
