Army Silver Star Awarded the Silver Star (Posthumously) for gallantry in action on 9 September 1943 at Salerno, Italy as reported in newspapers like The Abilene Reporter-News (Tx) 5 January 1944 and The Fort Worth Star Telegram Thu 6 January 1944. And also the Purple Heart (Posthumously) as he gave his life in the gallant action. |
