James Edward Taylor Major General, U. S. Army Silver Star James E. Taylor began his service with the Texas National Guard in December 1938, enlisting in the 132d Field Artillery Battalion, 36th Division. General Taylor was appointed The Adjutant General of Texas and promoted to major general, Adjutant General Corps, effective July 1, 1961. General Taylor's decorations and awards included the Silver Star Medal; Bronze Star Medal; Croix de Guerre with silver star (French). |
