(Citation Needed) - SYNOPSIS: Private First Class William M. Adams (ASN: 18036367), United States Army, was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving with Battery A, 60th Coast Artillery Regiment (Anti-Aircraft), in action in the Philippine Islands, in 1942.
Private First Class Adams' gallant actions and selfless devotion to duty, without regard for his own safety, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.

William Adams, a single white male working as a farm hand in Hockley County Texas, enlisted in the US Army at Lubbock Texas on 21 Feb 1941 with the Coast Artillery Corps.
