Biography:

George Thomas Alexander Jr.
Staff Sergeant, United States Army

United States Army staff sergeant who was a member of 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. During his third tour in Iraq, he sustained mortal injuries when the Bradley vehicle he was traveling in was destroyed by an IED. He died five days later from his injuries. He was known as the 2,000th death of the war, which sparked hundreds of anti-war protests across the United States.
