James Edward Caughey

Specialist Four, U.S. Army

James Edward Caughey was born on 15 July 1944.

On 14 August 1964, Specialist Four James Edward Caughey was serving with 118th Assault Helicopter Company, 145th Aviation Battalion, U.S. Army Support Command, MACV, in Tay Ninh Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, SP4 Caughey was killed when the helicopter of which he was a crewmember crashed due to non-hostile causes. His body was recovered.
