David Edward Carter

Sergeant First Class, U.S. Army

David Edward Carter was born on 27 February 1941.

On 10 August 1969, Sergeant First Class David Edward Carter was serving with P Company, 75th Infantry Regiment (Rangers), 1st Brigade, 5th Infantry Division, in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, SFC Carter was killed in action when he sustained multiple fragmentation wounds. His body was recovered.
