David Lavern Campbell

David Lavern Campbell was born on 15 October 1949.

On 15 May 1968, Private First Class David Lavern Campbell was serving with K Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, III Marine Amphibious Force in Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Campbell was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
