Orrie Julius Buskey was born on 7 June 1946.


On 8 August 1966, Private First Class Orrie Julius Buskey was serving with A Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, in Ia Drang Valley, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Buskey was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
