Harold Raymond "Andy" Andrus

Graduate of U.S. Naval Academy, Class of 1948.

Andrus served his country in the Navy for 29 years. During his active service he earned the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and Antarctica Service Medal.

Death and Burial

Commander Harold Raymond Andrus died on 15 January 2012 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, in Charlotte Hall, MD. He previously lived in College Park, MD, for fifty years. Andrus is inurned at the U.S. Naval Academy Cemetery in Annapolis, MD.

Andrus was survived by his beloved wife, Shirley McCampbell Andrus; two daughters, Peggy Marie Andrus and Susan Carol Cramer; and two sons, Harold Raymond Andrus, III and Thomas Victor Andrus. He was also survived by four grandchildren.
