Mark Constant Chenis was born on 10 November 1944.

On 17 October 1968, First Lieutenant Mark Constant Chenis was serving with the 615th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 35th Tactical Fighter Wing, 7th Air Force, in Ninh Thuan Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, 1LT Chenis was killed when his aircraft crashed due to a non-hostile action. His body was recovered.
