CITATION:
The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Corporal Glenn A. Bell (ASN: 2248895), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Company D, 359th Infantry Regiment, 90th Division, A.E.F., near Villers-devant-Dun, France, 2 November 1918.
Corporal Bell was wounded in the arm by machine-gun fire, but in spite of his injury continued, to lead his squad and assisted in taking several machine-gun nests.

On 23 April 1919 awarded the French Croix de Guerre with gilt star.
