Distinguished Service Cross
GENERAL ORDERS:
War Department, General Orders No. 126 (1919)
Captain Moore, although wounded by shrapnel, refused to go the rear, and proceeded to reorganize portions of three infantry platoons, whose officers had become casualties, thus protecting the right flank of the 141st Infantry. He went to the rear only after he had been severely gassed.
On 28 February 1919 awarded the French Croix de Guerre with palm.
