John Thornton John Thornton was born on 24 December 1786. Thornton was a Colonel who commanded the 28th Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, Missouri Militia. He also served as Speaker of the House in 1828 and 1830. Death and Burial Colonel John Thornton died on 24 October 1847. He is buried at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty, MO. |
