Owen Summers Owen Summers was born on 23 May 1850. Colonel Summers was the Commanding Officer of the Second Oregon Volunteers Regiment in the Spanish-American War. He was also a member of the Oregon Legislature and introduced the bill that later created the Oregon National Guard. Death and Burial Brevet Brigadier General Owen Summers died on 2 February 1911. He is buried at River View Cemetery in Portland, OR. |
