Kenneth Barnard Keating Kenneth Barnard Keating was born on 18 May 1900. Keating attended public school and was graduated from Genesee Wesleyan Seminary in 1915. He then attended the University of Rochester and graduated in 1919. While there he joined the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1923, was admitted to the bar, and commenced practice in Rochester, NY. During World War I, Keating served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. During World War II, he served overseas and was promoted to Brigadier General in 1948. On returning to the U.S., he resumed his law practice. Keating was the U.S. Senator from New York from 1959-65. He lost his re-election bid to Robert Francis Kennedy in 1964. He served as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel from 1973-75. Death and Burial Kenneth Barnard Keating died on 5 May 1975. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. |
