John W. Dearing
Military Service John was proud to be in the Army and to serve his country. He was serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom at the time he died. He was part of the 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry Regiment of the Army National Guard in Saginaw, MI. Medals and Awards Bronze Star Medal Death and Burial Private First Class John W. Dearing died on 21 November 2005 in Iraq; he was 21. He is buried at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Oakland County, MI. John is survived by his wife Amanda; mother Kitty Dearing of Oscoda; father John Dearing of Hazel Park; sister Tracy Colodny of Oscoda; step-brother Zachary Burtenshaw of Hazel Park; grandparents John and Mary Dearing of Hazel Park and Marie Rains of Marion, Indiana; nephew and niece Dillon and Cheyenne Colodny. |
