John W. Dearing was born on 10 September 1984, the son of John and Kitty Dearing. He graduated from Oscoda High School in 2003. He loved baseball, NASCAR, bowling, and hunting.

Military Service

John was proud to be in the Army and to serve his country. He was serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom at the time he died. He was part of the 1st Battalion, 125th Infantry Regiment of the Army National Guard in Saginaw, MI.

John is survived by his wife Amanda; mother Kitty Dearing of Oscoda; father John Dearing of Hazel Park; sister Tracy Colodny of Oscoda; step-brother Zachary Burtenshaw of Hazel Park; grandparents John and Mary Dearing of Hazel Park and Marie Rains of Marion, Indiana; nephew and niece Dillon and Cheyenne Colodny.
