Lawrence Clinton Sinnett Chief Machinist's Mate, U.S. Navy Medal of Honor Recipient Occupation of Veracruz War Chief Machinist's Mate Lawrence C. Sinnett (4 April 1888 - 11 June 1962) was a U.S. Navy sailor who received the U.S. military's highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor, for his heroic actions during the Occupation of Veracruz. Lawrence C. Sinnett was born on 4 April 1888 in Burnt House, WV. Medal of Honor Rank and organization: Seaman, U.S. Navy Citation: On board the U.S.S. Florida, Sinnett showed extraordinary heroism in the line of his profession during the seizure of Vera Cruz, Mexico, 21 April 1914. Death and Burial Chief Machinist's Mate Lawrence C. Sinnett died on 11 June 1962. He is buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Harrisville, WV. |
