Chief Boatswain's Mate James H. Bennett (11 August 1877 - unknown) was an U.S. Navy sailor who received the U.S. military's highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor, for his heroic actions during the Spanish-American War.

Biography

Bennett was born 11 August 1877 in New York City, NY, and after entering the Navy, he was sent as a Chief Boatswain's Mate to fight in the Spanish-American War aboard the USSĀ Marblehead.
